Powered Up [Devlog 10]


1 Week and 2 days to go... that's actually crazy.

So hey, hi! This week the entire team delved deep into development. Some of us focused on fixing issues with the multiplayer, others finalized core systems. Personlly, after finishing writing up and delivering the Progression increment of our Game Design Document, I went straight into developing challenge rooms and powerups! Finalizing last week's challenge room, I created a 3-person version of it and a whole new challenge room based around having a player navigate a platform maze. Some of the platforms are fake, but only the player in the control room knows which, so both players have to communicate to get to the end portal. Other than that I went right to powerups. In a day I managed to develop around 10 powerups (a big chunk of the ones we had planned), greatly due to the fact that the power up system one of my teammates created was so easy to work with. I'll leave you with a picture of one of my favourite powerups - Use it, and you spawn a transparent "force" wall infront of you that blocks players and projectiles. Great for running away from someone!

Anyways, that's about it for catching up, gotta get back to work! We wanna have the game fully ready by sunday, so we can hold some play testing sessions wednesday and friday!
