The beginning of the end [Devlog 8]

Hi everyone!

May has come around and just like that we're in the final stretch of the semester. With projects pilling on and the looming shadow of exams just around the corner, the team has finally entered the third and last development phase. There's a lot to be done, from powerups, to challenge rooms to actually closing up the multiplayer gameloop with a win screen and a waiting lobby room, we've got our work cut out for us.

I'm getting ahead of myself though. This week we had to deliver our functional prototypes and user feedback (which we discussed on last weeks post). Testing went alright, we got a lot of good feedback in the main cornerstones of our game which was nice. Despite some bugs and minor recommendations however, we can technically say that moving, and shooting are finalized, with all that's left to add being a sensitivity slider, and our HUD's placement is now complete and awaiting the final assets from our artist. Besides finishing and polishing up my prototype during this week we also spent a lot of time writing the user feedback report.

And that was basically it.. I can't lie and say I'm not anxious about the amount of work needed to complete our project, but I'm 100% sure we'll pull through like we always do.

With love,

- Diogo Silva
