Making a Map? Puff, that's eas....(gunshot)
Hey again! Remember me? And what about the map thing that I talked to you about some weeks ago? Well, even if you do not remember, I really do. REALLY. Basically, this week my nightmares of angry ghosts and Samara were replaced by the thoughts of a map all grayed out or pieces and pieces with sizes out of control. Fun, I know. But the silver lining in all of this is that I finally was able to make a map that starts empty and then, by calling a single function, adds an amount of pieces that depends on the number of challenge rooms on the map. Ans the map is also generated based on the procedural generation of the maze and the beginning of the maze. There were a lot of problems, a lot of different approaches, and A LOT of lines of code, but the pain is finally over. But I must tell you: It ended up quite good. I guess that the bigger the challenge, the bigger the reward is. See you next week, and hopefully with the same old nightmares.
