Maze Prototypes [DevLog 3.5]

Hey hey!

Yet another week goes by.  And whilst during this one we were free of classes, this doesn't mean we were free from work - afterall, the next deliverable is right around the corner. Next tuesday we'll have to deliver our paper prototypes, a user feedback report and a tech feasibility report. Quite a lot, but quite manageable also.

This wednesday I gathered 6 friends (who are part of our Focus Group) to test my prototype - focused on ascertaining the design of the maze (primarily), health and movement (secondarily) and their impact on the game. We all got together on a discord server and the result was a 3 hour session of both fun and insight. I was also quite pleased to hear that they were interested in the game's concept and would gladly try out the game in its actual "video-game" form!

Besides testing, I also gathered all of their answers (I had them fill a form during the prototype testing) and started our User Feedback Report. In fact, I just finished writing my section of the report before writing this post, so now it's up to the rest of the guys to finish it up with their own experiments.

We also managed to meet with Alizée, our arts student collaborator, and talked a bit with Marta, our writing student collaborator. They both read our design document and are now full members of our team!

Moving on to this week, we still have a tech feasibility report to write during the weekend, and I'll be trying to implement a maze in our Unity project using all the insight I gained from the prototype. Looking forward to this next week!

Happy easter!
