Bot Party VR

BotParty VR is a Virtual Reality experiment that aims to compare 20 different interaction techniques to answer binary questions.

Requirements:

Requires an Oculus Quest/Quest 2 and Oculus Touch Controllers to function.

Additionally, if you wish to use the desktop version the headset needs to be connected to the PC using an Oculus Link Cable or Air Link.

Installation:

You can use SideQuest to install the APK to your headset directly. Todo this:

1. Download SideQuest from  https://sidequestvr.com/download
2. Side load the application into your headset using SideQuest's tutorials

Alternatively, you can run this application by running the Desktop executable (BotPartyVR_Desktop.zip) with your headset connected to your PC, however you won't be able to utilize any Hands interaction techniques.

User Forms and Instructions:

   1. If there is anything you do wish to agree with, you will still be able to try out our application, but we ask that you refrain from answering any subsequent forms
   2. If you have any doubts, feel free to contact any of our team members
2. Then, please generate your Participant ID using the following online tool - https://www.gigacalculator.com/randomizers/random-alphanumeric-generator.php
   
   1. Keep track of the generated string as you'll need it to feel the following forms

      
      

3. Please fill our Demographic Profile Form - https://forms.gle/2yis2EWQdAkJz9pN9
   

4. Look at the table of interactions and please pick the one that has the least number of registered user tests

5. Start the application
6. Choose the chosen interaction technique from the main menu by selecting it using your Oculus Touch controllers, aiming and pressing the index trigger. Afterwards click the "Next" button
7. Carefully read the presented instructions. For Hand-based interactions please place down your controllers on a stable surface (like a table) and make sure they stay stationary. Then wave your hands in front of your headset until they're detected
8. Once ready, hit the "Start" button
9. Go through the experience
10. After you are done, feel free to try out other interaction techniques, or simply exit the application
